Athletics: Jasmine McWilliams

I first had the pleasure of meeting Jasmine McWilliams when she visited my middle school to talk about her journey as a Division I NCAA Women’s Basketball player. I was impressed by how she balanced her academic and athletic careers, so I invited her to chat with me. We talk about everything from new WNBA fans to hypervisibility to the best food in Chicago.

Not only is Jasmine a three-time Academic All-Big Ten player, but she also recently graduated from Northwestern University. With college just a few years away for me, I was eager to talk with someone who had just braved the journey.
