In Memory of Wiggles
That torturous day at the vet broke my heart. Wiggles, our beloved dog that came before Fang, was acting strange the last week. We drove worriedly to the vet, comforting her along the way. When we got there, we rushed to the front desk, demanding for immediate care. Finally, the veterinarian came into the room. We were in the examination room in no time. He took Wiggles into a private room and ran all sorts of tests on the terrified dog. Then after half an hour, he came into the room reluctantly. “Your dog has something deadly in her blood. Unfortunately, we are not able to get it out of her systems. She is likely to die soon. I am terribly sorry,” the vet said quietly. Mom and I cried together for a long time. We drove away crying. A couple days later, I came home and no Wiggles was in sight. Then I remembered that today is the day we had to put Wiggles asleep. I cried so hard I almost couldn’t breathe. Thinking about it still brings a tear to my eye.
I’d like to dedicate this to the sweet, sweet Wiggle Puppy.
