Apocalypse Burger

I just went to this place for lunch called Apocalypse Burger. It is owned by Martha Hoover who also owns Patachou, Public Green, Napolese, and more. It is in Broad Ripple, so it is far away from my home, but I would say it is worth the drive! Here are the main things I look for in a restaurant.

Food: The food here was actually pretty good. I expect more, I don’t know how to say it, “performance” from a burger. I expect it to be pretty or wild, etc., but I can’t blame them since I did get a plain burger; it was delicious, though. My fries were cold, but I bet if they were hot, they would be delicious, and then there was the friend mac n’ cheese. One of the best mac n’ cheeses I’ve had. It had the crust of a chicken tender but the insides of, well, mac n’ cheese! They also put this sort of ranch or aioli sauce on it that makes it even better. My rating for the food is 9/10. (Just a heads-up, if you want to try this place, keep in mind there are no fountain drinks there. Only water, wine, and beer).

Service: The service was pretty good. I was super astounded at how clean and safe they kept their restaurant. She was very, very nice, but the efficiency needed a little more work: 8/10.

Entertainment: There weren’t any TV’s or anything like that to keep you busy. There were…strange pictures on the walls and a wheel called the “Wheel of Misfortune”. Overall, though, the entertainment was not great. 6/10.

This visit was equivalent to a 7/10. Pretty good, if you ask me! It was in the great / good area.

I will have more reviews coming soon!
