Mulholland Drive

This is a wonderful song by a not very well-known band, The Gaslight Anthem. It is a wonderful band so I suggest you listen to other songs of theirs ("Here’s Looking At You Kid” and “Here Comes My Man” are some of my favorites).

Mulholland Drive is a song about a breakup and their special place was Mulholland. He “used to drive her all around with the radio on”. As I already said in my review of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”, I love breakup songs that are deep and rock n’ roll.

This is a four-star song because of the sadness and really deep meaning of this. I don’t know why this isn’t a five-star song (I guess it just doesn’t feel right, which I know is no excuse for some of the Gaslight Anthem fans and/or people who really love this song) but it is wonderful. Brian Fallon does a wonderful job singing this song. I would recommend it for people who like sad breakup songs that have a deeper meaning than just the notes and chords played and sung in this song.

(Fun Fact: Some of The Gaslight Anthem songs are named after or have quotes from different movies.)
